La Balma 50 ans

As you may already know, Mas de La Balma is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. A special milestone!
During the summer of last year, the idea arose to offer Monique, Rachel, Mark and Joan a gift as guests of La Balma.

Shhhhh…!
To ensure that we give them a gift that we know they will truly appreciate, we have discussed it with Mark. Monique, Rachel and Joan don’t know anything about it yet, and we want to keep it that way. It would be nice if it remained a surprise for them!
That is why we have posted this appeal on our own website. This page can only be accessed via the link that you used to get here.

The gift
The idea is to offer a gift that they can in turn give to the guests of La Balma.
Two years ago, a new game was played at La Balma that was also developed at La Balma. Some of you may know it as “zandvlooien” (sand fleas), a game with cards, dice and a pawn.
This game is now getting a festive anniversary edition and is being renamed “La Balma 50 ans”.

The cards will feature various recognisable places at La Balma, and the box will of course feature images of Gilles, Monique, Rachel, Mark and Joan.

Everyone who visits La Balma during this anniversary year will receive a game (one per pitch). This means it can be played on site at the campsite and also taken along to other places where La Balma is being celebrated.

Costs and production
Because producing a game in a small print run of 250 copies is normally a very costly affair, we made arrangements with Martijn and Resa at the campsite last year. Their company, LocoBrands, can produce the game at a very attractive price, and we are delighted with this collaboration. This has enabled us to limit the total costs to €1,200.

Will you join us?
As this is a gift from the guests to the campsite, we are asking you to make a voluntary contribution. You can, of course, decide for yourself how much you want to give.
When presenting the gift, we will also hand over a list with the names of all the donors.

The decision on whether the game can actually be produced will only be made once we have secured the funding. In order to have the games ready at the start of this anniversary season (early June), we ask you to make your contribution by 20th April at the latest. If this is not possible but you would still like to participate, please email us at mail@tonmaril.nl.

If it turns out that we are unable to raise enough money, everyone will of course receive a refund. If we raise more than the target amount, we will discuss with Mark what else is possible.
